Criminal Defense
OUR SPECIALTY
We are focused criminal defense attorneys.
While we might take an occasional civil or family case for a longtime client, our
caseload is 99% criminal and traffic defense cases. We do that for a good reason. There’s no room for “Jacks-of-all-trades” in this business. Wisconsin and federal law changes almost daily. No good attorney can keep up with it all.
By focusing on criminal defense and traffic defense, we ensure that we know the law, and what the law might be tomorrow. We also focus on criminal and traffic defense because it concentrates our court appearances during criminal court times. That gives us enough time to meet with clients, review discovery, and prepare for litigation—when other “Jacks-of-all-trades” might be running over to family or civil court. When you hire us, you hire a criminal defense attorney.
Our Attorneys
“Great Attorney, helped me beat a DUI charge which I was facing jail time for. Mark reviewed my case and quickly determined that there was no probable cause for the State Police to take a blood sample. After a few court sessions the DA agreed there was no probable cause and dropped the case against me! Even though Mark never promised me he would get the case dismissed, I had all confidence that he would win. He is a smart and skillful Attorney!”
-State v. CC (13 CT 731)
“Attorney Natalie Wisco is not only a genius in her field, but she’s also one of the very very rare ones that truly care about the outcome of her clients & will make sure you’re heard and will go above & beyond to help her clients. I’d recommend them to everyone I know that may be in need of a amazing attorney. Also extremely thorough and make sure you understand exactly what is going on. 10 out of 10!” – Aaron F (2021)
“Natalie Wisco was a phenomenal attorney for me. She helped me weigh out all of my possible options and I truly felt that she cared about me as a person. I know she went above and beyond to assist me with all of my questions and concerns. She was extremely professional and I felt that she put her heart into helping me the best she can. I highly recommend seeking her advice.” Pat A. (2022)
“I first hired Mark Richards in 1993 when I was facing criminal charges in Racine County. Attorney Richards was able to get all charges against me dismissed at that time. In 2017, I was involved in an altercation with a family member that was not my fault, and was charged criminally for battery and disorderly conduct. Attorney Richards filed motions, as well as a speedy trial demand on my behalf, and the case was completely dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion 3 days before trial. Attorney Richards was very responsive to my concerns about the case and aggressive in his representation. I would recommend Mark Richards to anyone who needs a criminal defense attorney.”
State v. D.C. (18 CM 216)
“My first lawyer told me to take a deal for 2 years of prison. I hired Mark and he worked to amend my 5th OWI to a 4th. I received only 6 months in the county jail with Huber. He saved my business–if I had went to prison I would have lost everything.”
-State v. B.F. (11 CF 497)
