Guiding You Forward — Trusted Defense for Life’s Tough Moments

Matthew Duffy

Matthew Duffy is an Associate Attorney at Richards & Wisco S.C., where he focuses on defending clients facing OWIs, traffic violations, and misdemeanors. Known for his calm approach and clear communication, Matthew is dedicated to ensuring that every client receives fair treatment under the law and a genuine opportunity to move forward with dignity.

Before earning his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2025, Matthew worked as an Alternative Investment Administrator at U.S. Bank, overseeing compliance with SEC regulations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin (2020), and a certificate in Sports Law from the National Sports Law Institute.

During law school, Matthew served as an Editor for the Marquette Sports Law Review and was a Board Member of the Sports Law Negotiation Competition. He gained valuable experience through multiple internships—including with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office—and worked part-time at Richards & Wisco S.C. during his final year, ultimately choosing to begin his career there.

A third-generation legal professional, Matthew was inspired by the dedication and impact of his father, Attorney Timothy G. Duffy; his grandfather, Attorney John P. Duffy; and his great uncle, Judge William “Bill” J. Duffy. Their legacy of service in Wisconsin’s legal community continues through his own commitment to justice and advocacy.

When you’re facing a legal issue—whether it’s a speeding ticket or a first-time misdemeanor—Attorney Matthew Duffy is someone you can count on for trusted, respectful legal support.
